I was going to watch the Oscars, the other night, but it wasn't actually shown live on our channels (unlike advertised). Anyway, I'd brought some card-making stuff downstairs, and ended up making a birthday card for my mam.

I used three different colours of handmade paper I had bought YEARS ago - I think the paper was from Nepal, and I bought it from some Unicef shop.. As you can see in the pic above, the sheets weren't totally straight, but I didn't want to cut them as I think they looked better a bit "wild".

The "flowers" are from craftsupplies.ie (next I'll be ordering an eyelet tool set, and lots of eyelets..), and the ribbon came from my ribbon jar - can't remember its origin

Now I'll just have to hope my mam gets it in time for her birthday (this coming Saturday)!

(There's something I really want to try as well, to make paper! It seems simple enough, I just need the grid yoke *whatever it's called* and some SPACE.... might leave it until summer, then make a total mess in the garden..)

So, in the first picture, lots of colourful things I've punched
